Singer and Keyboardist, Lester Green has partnered in performances with the Kennedy Center, Washington National Opera, Washington Performing Arts, Colour of Music Festival, and other arts presenters across the US and abroad. Green has served as performance and educational consultant with many entities in the Washington, DC area, including the Washington National Opera, the Children’s Chorus of Washington, the Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts, and many religious organizations. Green earned a B.M. in Piano with a minor in German Language Studies from the University of South Carolina; a Master’s degree and Graduate Performance Diploma in Piano and concentration in Vocal Literature and Accompanying at The Peabody Institute; and the D.M.A. in Collaborative Piano Performance from the University of Maryland College Park. Green’s film credits include, Samuel Coleridge Taylor and His Music in America: 1900-1912 and Paul Laurence Dunbar: Beyond the Mask, a PBS documentary.
